MORE WAYS TO UNIFY YOUR SECURITY

When you choose the Arcules VSaaS service, you are selecting a cloud solution that protects your investment by not locking your company into proprietary hardware and constrained architectures, but instead allows you the ability to utilize your existing cameras with a choice of cloud architectures that give you all the convenience of a cloud VSaaS, but let’s you select your implementation based on budget, storage requirements, bandwidth limitations and site specifics. Arcules offers three types of cloud deployments and the option to mix and match within your sites.

SELECT A CLOUD ARCHITECTURE TO COMPARE

Cloud Video Architecture

Our cloud video architecture constantly streams video to the cloud with low-latency live viewing and lighting fast remote playback. A gateway is used to connect cameras to the cloud, and facilitates 3rd party integrations, but it is not used for long term video storage.

Highlights:

  • Set up, manage operate, and view video anytime, from anywhere
  • Use your existing ONVIF cameras
  • Store video directly to the cloud
  • Bandwidth approx 1.5 Mbps per channel
  • Set alarms using cloud-based video analytics, counting and heatmaps
  • Conduct forensic searches based on object type and color
  • Archive and protect video evidence to the cloud

Best for Sites…

  • Without strict bandwidth limitations
  • That want cloud-based search and video analytics
  • With limited space for hardware on-site
  • That want highly secure, redundant storage

Bandwidth ~ 1.5 Mbps per channel
Video is constantly uploaded to the cloud, resulting in higher bandwidth consumption. (outbound bandwidth approx. 1-2 Mbps/ch – based on 1080p, 12fps, 30% motion)

Edge Video Architecture

Bandwidth ~ 10 Kbps per channel
Recorded video is stored on the gateway with recording & motion metadata uploaded to the cloud. (outbound bandwidth approx. 10-50 Kbps/ch – based on 1080p, 12fps, 30% motion)

Edge cloud is a low bandwidth cloud solution that stores video locally on the gateway – pushing only metadata to the cloud to eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks. Although video is stored locally, this solution delivers the benefits of cloud allowing users to set up, manage operate, and view video through the Arcules cloud platform.

Highlights:

  • Set up, manage operate, and view video anytime, from anywhere
  • Use your existing ONVIF cameras
  • Store video locally at the edge
  • Use only 10-50 Kbps bandwidth while recording video
  • Archive and protect video evidence to the cloud

Best for Sites…

  • With limited outbound bandwidth
  • With high camera counts and limited outbound bandwidth
  • That need to prioritize bandwidth during business hours for other systems

Camera to Cloud Architecture

The camera to cloud option removes the gateway from the architecture, instead using the camera for video storage and processing of video analytics. However, metadata is sent to the cloud and set up, management, operation, and viewing is still fully accessible through the Arcules cloud platform.

Highlights:

  • Set up, manage operate, and view video anytime, from anywhere
  • Store video locally on the camera SD card
  • Use only 10-50 Kbps bandwidth while recording video
  • Set alarms using cloud-based video analytics, counting and heatmaps.
  • Conduct forensic searches based on object type.
  • Archive and protect video evidence to the cloud

Best for Sites…

  • That are remote with a few cameras
  • That have been too small to justify monitoring in the past
  • With available budget to accommodate acquisition of camera to cloud cameras
  • That have existing Axis cameras or those with lower storage requirements

Bandwidth ~ 10 Kbps per channel

Recorded video is stored on the gateway with recording & motion metadata uploaded to the cloud. (outbound bandwidth approx. 10-50 Kbps/ch – based on 1080p, 10fps)

Mix and Match

At Arcules, we’re all about choices.  Our cloud architecture choices allow you to consider aspects of your existing security system, your budget and other considerations to select the best cloud configuration to meet your needs.  And the best part is that regardless of the configuration you choose, your Arcules VSaaS cloud experience will be seamless.

Combine cloud, edge and camera-to-cloud architectures:

  • Choose camera to cloud for sites that are remote with a few cameras
  • Leverage your existing cameras with a pure cloud deployment
  • Manage bandwidth challenged locations with our edge cloud option
  • Enjoy the single pane of glass experience regardless of how you mix and match you cloud deployments.
